Reflect on your development as a blogger
Blogging was something that I never thought I would ever do, because I have always been afraid of other people reading my writing and judging it; however, one thing that I have learned this semester is to screw people’s judgement. At the start of the semester, I was apprehensive to share my work, but as I have grown I have learned to love the catharsis one gets once sharing your pieces – even though the only person reading it is yourself. I would also offer that through blogging I have become a better writer because I am conscious of the fact that strangers might stumble upon what I have to say.
How would you critique your blog? Positives? Improvements?
My blog is one of the few things I am truly proud of, I have put my blood, sweat, and tears into the aesthetics and writing found on it and I think all my work has paid off. Perhaps one thing I could work on is figuring out how to display my links, tag cloud, and recent comments in either a sidebar or footer; however, this may just be a restriction of my theme.
What will you do with your blog after this course?
My blog is something that I will continue to work on and with for hopefully the rest of my life. I love how I can track all that I read and how it creates a compilation of my best pieces.
